President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden — a convicted felon awaiting trial — advised his father to stay in the race, which could hurt the president’s ability to ridicule former President Donald Trump’s criminal record on the campaign trail.
“All Americans should be very concerned that at a time of rising international tensions, particularly with the CCP, the Biden family’s executioner is now in the White House,” Mike Howell, executive director of the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
“Given that this administration appears to be on its last legs, I fear that many favors requested by outsiders who have influence over Biden will be considered while he is still in office,” Howell said.

Hunter Biden was convicted last month of three counts related to the purchase of a handgun in 2018.
And independent voters overwhelmingly approved of Trump’s description of Hunter Biden as a “convicted felon” during CNN’s presidential debate last week, according to Fox News Digital’s Focus Dial, despite the former president’s recent criminal conviction in the Manhattan hush-money trial.

Democratic approvals tended to decline over the course of the response. Republican and independent Approval continued to rise throughout Trump’s comments.

The president’s son was joined by first lady Jill Biden in encouraging him to keep things going through November, the report noted, while other family members, such as a grandchild, expressed interest in trying to do more to help the campaign, with the grandchild suggesting they could reach out to social media influencers.
“Hunter Biden wants Americans to see the version of his father he knows — rambling and in control of the facts — rather than the aging, faltering president Americans saw Thursday night,” the report said, noting that the president’s son has “long been” one of his most trusted advisers.
