Maybe putting a little extra money in your pocket can help stave off the Sunday blues.
With a full baseball schedule set to begin before noon and a healthy dose of WNBA action, there’s no better time to build positive momentum for the week ahead.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves
First pitch is scheduled for 11:35 a.m. ET, so if you plan to roll out of bed, scarf down breakfast, and head straight to the plate, this game is for you. There’s also no harm in catching the lines live.
Atlanta will aim for a three-game series against Pittsburgh, but it has been a relatively quiet series for Braves designated hitter Marcell Ozuna.
Ozuna only went 1 for 6, but he has an extremely favorable matchup on deck, as the Pirates plan to send left-hander Bailey Falter on the mound on Sunday. In four career starts against Atlanta, Falter is 1-1 with a 6.41 ERA.
Better yet, Ozuna is 4-for-9 (.444) against Falter in his career, though he hasn’t been able to pull off a multi-hit game against him.
That changes on Sunday.
You could play it safe and opt for an alternative line here, but why not take a little risk to start the day?
Marcell Ozuna over 1.5 hits, +165 (DraftKings)

Indiana Fever in Phoenix Mercury
Defense has seemingly been optional for Indiana and Phoenix this season.
Opponents are scoring a league-high 87.9 points per game against the Fever, while the Mercury are allowing the fourth-most points per game (84.6) in the 12-team WNBA.
There should be plenty of workarounds on both sides, and even if everyone else’s attention will be on Caitlin ClarkWe focus on Kelsey Mitchell.
Mitchell has been very stellar over her last six games, averaging 19.8 points on 53.8 percent shooting and 52.9 percent from three-point range. She should absolutely feast against a Phoenix team that is allowing guards to score a whopping 64.3 points per game against them.
Kelsey Mitchell over 16.5 points, -115 (DraftKings)

Washington Nationals vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Where do we go when we die? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? How does Washington’s Patrick Corbin continue to play in the majors? These are all questions we may never get answers to.
Corbin is 1-7 with a 5.46 ERA this year, and he has led the National League in losses in each of the last three seasons. We have to give him credit where it’s due, though, as he’s put up a 2.60 ERA over his last three outings.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s offense has been quiet. Too quiet.
The Rays have averaged just two runs in the first two games of their three-game set against Washington, and if they want to make a breakthrough, Corbin is the guy to get one against. He is 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in two career starts against Tampa Bay, and after five days of rest, he is 0-3 with a 6.94 ERA this season.
Corbin has had five days off in recent daysso you know what that means. It’s time to hammer the Rays.
Rays team is over 4.5 points, -105 (DraftKings)
