The high volume – and exceptional quality – of applications once again reflects the impressive innovation and care continually developed across the UK healthcare system.
After a thorough selection process, DigitalHealth.London and the South West London Integrated Care System (SWL ICS) has been shortlisted for the Digital Literacy, Education and Upskilling Award, ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held on Thursday 6 June 2024, with the SWL Digital Pioneer Fellowship establishing itself as a truly worthy “success story”. of a winning award. place on the panel’s shortlist.
Funded by the SWL ICS, the SWL Digital Pioneer Fellowship program has been designed as a learning community for those dedicated to accelerating digital transformation within NHS organisations. Fellows will participate in a total of six days of learning that will cover topics such as developing effective business cases, using Agile methodologies for project delivery, structuring evaluations, and applying principles change management.
As part of the program, fellows will also have the opportunity to attend various workshops and events throughout the year and will have access to resources where they can share their experiences and challenges, learn from experts and collaborate to develop effective digital solutions to transform work pathways within the wider SWL ICS.
A total of 39 scholarship holders are currently enrolled in the program and have been selected from local authority organisations, NHS trusts, primary care, community organizations and within the SWL ICS.
We are delighted to have been shortlisted alongside SWL ICS for the SWL Digital Pioneer Fellowship. Our nomination for the HSJ Digital Literacy, Education, and Upskilling Award recognizes the critical role of staff support and empowerment within an SCI as a whole. SWL ICS’ decision to open this up to a mixed cohort – including the NHS, social care and community organizations – and to drive digital transformation is an inspired way to support cross-sector care. This is a model that I think every CNS should consider, as a well-trained workforce will improve both patient outcomes and staff experience.
