The screenshot posted by Digarch comes from the official SHIB Discord account, a regularly used platform for daily updates and discussions about the Shiba Inu ecosystem. DaVinci’s statement revealed that ‘deceptive individuals’ launched a fake PROCESSING token, under the guise of being directly involved in the SHIB ecosystem. These fake tokens are currently listed on popular crypto platforms like CoinMarketCap and crypto exchanges like CoinGecko.
Informing community members about these malicious activities, developer Shiba Inu advised SHIB Members exercise caution and conduct thorough research before investing or committing to any tokens. It revealed that malicious actors changed their scam tacticsinitially misusing Ryoshi Research’s psychics, but now illegally exploiting the Shiba Inu State and Canine Code.
What is disturbing is that these fraudulent attackers have also embedded the official SHIB website address, shib.io, in their scam promotional videos to enhance the credibility of their false claims and illegal schemes.
DaVinci explicitly clarified that the native SHIB token, TREAT, has not yet launched.
