When he catches up to her, he grabs her and throws her to the ground, causing her to drop some luggage.
He kicks her while she is on the ground, before picking up her bags and kicking her a second time then attempting to drag her by her shirt.
The attacker is seen leaving for a moment, before returning and shoving Ms. Ventura as she gets up. He then sits on a chair near the elevators and throws an object.
The R&B singer Ms. Ventura’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said in a statement: “The heartbreaking video has only further confirmed Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior.
“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said Friday that the assault captured in the video may be too old to prosecute.
“We find the images extremely disturbing and difficult to watch,” she said in a statement.
“If the behavior described had occurred in 2016, we would unfortunately not be able to charge as the behavior would have occurred beyond the period in which a crime of aggression can be prosecuted.”
In a now-settled federal lawsuit last year, Ms. Ventura alleged that “around March 2016,” Mr. Combs “became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye.”
“After falling asleep, Ms. Ventura tried to leave the hotel room, but as she was leaving, Mr. Combs woke up and began yelling at Ms. Ventura.
“He followed her down the hotel hallway while yelling at her. He grabbed her, then took glass vases from the hallway and threw them at her, causing the glass to crash around her. them as she ran towards the elevator to escape.” the documents say.
The lawsuit alleged the rap mogul bought the hotel footage for $50,000 (£39,000).
Her lawsuit against Mr Combs, which accused him of rape and sex trafficking over a decade, was settled for an undisclosed amount a day after it was filed in November last year.
Mr. Combs’ lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said at the time that the settlement “is in no way an admission of wrongdoing.”
“Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not negate his categorical denial of the claims. He is pleased that they have reached a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”
Since then, several other women have filed complaints against the rapper for sexual misconduct.
His homes in Los Angeles and Miami, Florida, were raided last month as part of a federal human trafficking investigation.
Ms. Ventura officially signed to Mr. Combs’ label, Bad Boy, and released several hits in the 2000s, including songs featuring Diddy.
His most famous tracks include Me & U, Long Way to Go and Official Girl, featuring Lil Wayne.
