Scottie Scheffler was booked into the Louisville Metropolitan Correctional Department Friday morning following an incident at Valhalla Golf Course in Kentucky before the second round of the PGA Championship.
He was booked into jail around 7:20 a.m. ET, records show.

Scheffler was handcuffed after a “misunderstanding with traffic led him to attempt to pass a police officer in Valhalla Golf Club,” ESPN’s Jeff Darlington said. written the.
“The officer attempted to tie himself into Scheffler’s car, and Scheffler then stopped his vehicle at the entrance to Valhalla,” Darlington added. “The officer then began yelling at Scheffler to get out of the car.
