Arsenal are interested in Bologna and Italy centre-back Riccardo Calafiori as the Gunners look to strengthen in defensive areas this summer.
Arsenal are yet to make a formal approach for Calafiori, with the 22-year-old one of several players the north London side are investigating.
Calafiori played every minute of Italy’s Euro 2024 group stage but was suspended for the Azzurri’s round of 16 defeat to Switzerland.
The defender’s impressive performances in Germany were a bright spot in the defending champions’ disappointing exit from the competition.
Calafiori also played a key role in helping his club Bologna qualify for next season’s Champions League for the first time, finishing fifth in Serie A.
The former Roma player still has three years left on his contract with Bologna.
Seville in talks with Lokonga
Seville are in talks with Arsenal for the signing of the midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
While a permanent sale at the right price appears to be Arsenal’s preferred option, Mikel Arteta’s side are open to a loan with an option or obligation to buy.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Luton and has two years left on his contract, with all parties keen to agree a deal.
