Princess Anne had a challenge to overcome during the Parade of the procession of colors SATURDAY.
The 73-year-old royal rode through the mall on horseback during the King’s birthday parade – but encountered some difficulties with her unruly horse.
The Princess Royal was captured on video, which you can see below, struggling to control her horse after it began to lose pace and appeared agitated.
Being an experienced and competent rider, Anne was able to keep her horse under control without distracting too much from the rest of the parade.
As colonel of the Blues and Royals, the royal donned all her regalia, looking elegant in her bicorne hat, jodhpurs and riding boots.

She also wore the collars of the Order of the Garter and the belt of the Order of the Thistle.
Viewers might wonder why Anne was the only female member of the royal family to wear a uniform.
Royal family members with military and naval connections have worn military clothing on official occasions since the 19th century. The Princess is the patroness of the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines Charity, as well as the Commodore-in-Chief of Portsmouth.
Although she has not actually served in the military like her brothers King Charles III and Prince Andrew, she is an honorary rear admiral.
She conducts hundreds of engagements each year with her patronages and military affiliations and is usually at the top of the hardest-working royal list.
Meanwhile, the King and Queen led members of the Royal Family in the procession to Horse Guards Parade from Buckingham Palace, with the King’s flag escorted by Number 9 Company of the Irish Guards during the ceremony.
The impressive ceremonial spectacle saw more than 1,400 officers and soldiers forming the parade, along with two hundred horses.
Meanwhile, more than four hundred musicians from ten groups and drum corps marched and played in unison.
After the ceremony, Charles will take the royal family and soldiers back to Buckingham Palace.
As the troops return to their barracks, the King and Queen and members of the Royal Family will gather on the palace balcony to watch the finale – a spectacular Royal Air Force flypast.
