Apologies! I deleted my post due to this tweet, which, upon reflection, seemed premature to me. Does anyone have an update from the potential co-author on what happened? Note that sometimes individuals do not wish to be co-authors on a particular paper, especially if they work in the private sector or for multilateral agencies. They must go through a lengthy evaluation process and are responsible for the final results of the article, possibly without any professional reward for the publication itself. The employer may need to participate in the authorization, or they may not like the results published in the document. I don’t know if that’s what happened here, but so far it seems like no one knows. If I learn more about it, I’ll let you all know.
