Patricia Heaton became the newest Kansas City Chiefs fan with a subtle sign of support for kicker Harrison Butker.
Last week, Butker came under fire for a commencement speech he gave at Benedictine College, which covered a range of topics including abortion, remarks about women’s choices, COVID and President Biden.
“I don’t understand why everyone’s panties are a mess. He gave a keynote speech,” Heaton said in an Instagram video shared on Sunday. “The audience applauded twice during the speech and gave him a standing ovation at the end, so clearly they appreciated what he was saying.
“This guy espouses his own opinions and Catholic doctrine, uh, so what? It’s his opinion. He can have one. He has the right. He’s not a monster for expressing what he believes.”

“I am a Catholic woman who worked during my children’s childhood and I believe God opened these doors for me,” Heaton said. “And luckily, it was a schedule that also allowed me to be a full-time mom.
“I don’t find anything offensive in what he said, even though my life is very different, and he might even look at my life and say that’s not how it should be. It doesn’t matter. It’s his opinion.”

THE Star of “Everybody Loves Raymond” “God has used my life, so I’m just curious why people are offended. If you’ve made choices in your life and you think they’re the right choices and you’re comfortable and they “I’m exercising for you and your family – great.”
Heaton concluded by saying, “And if they’re different than his, that’s great. You do it, and he and his family will do it. Relax, everyone.”
One part of Butker’s speech that caught attention was a call for women in the graduating class to embrace “most important titles of all: housewife.”
“To the ladies present today, congratulations on this incredible achievement. You should be proud of everything you have accomplished thus far in your young life. I want to address you directly briefly, because I think it “It’s you women who have heard the most evil lies: how many of you are sitting here now about to walk across the stage and thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career”, did he declare.

“Some of you may go on to successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are very excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into the world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, will be the first to say that her life truly began when she began to live her vocation as a wife and mother.”
He continued: “I stand on this stage today and I am able to be the man I am because I have a wife who relies on her calling. I am beyond blessed with the many talents that God gave me But it cannot be overstated: that all my success is made possible because a girl I met in middle school music class would convert to the faith, become my wife and adopt the. one of the most important titles of all: that of housewife.
