Manchester United are interested in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Man Utd are keen to sign a new central midfielder this summer and the 23-year-old is one of several players they are considering.
The Uruguay international, who is part of the Copa America squad, made 34 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season.
Ugarte joined the French champions from Sporting Lisbon for a fee of £51.1 million last summer, with his contract at the Parc des Princes until June 2028.
Man Utd’s other main priorities this summer are a new striker and centre-back.
Man Utd continue talks with Zirkzee
United remain in talks with Bologna striker’s representatives Joshua Zirkzeewith the club ready to pay his €40m (£33.8m) release clause.
Discussions are underway over the transfer of the Dutch striker, who is currently participating in Euro 2024 in Germany.
It will then be up to the 23-year-old and his representatives to decide whether they wish to speak to United regarding a possible transfer.
United have other targets if a move for Zirkzee does not materialize.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in the former Bayern Munich striker, while AC Milan were close to completing a deal earlier this summer, meaning United could face competition for Zirkzee.
Man Utd remain interested in Branthwaite
United are also still interested in the Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite but have yet to follow through on their initial offer, which was rejected.
The England defender remains a top target – but as yet there is no indication from Everton that his £70million asking price will be reduced.
United will not replace Branthwaite unless they receive assurance that Everton are prepared to change the transfer fee.
Everton rejected United’s initial offer, believed to be £35 million plus add-ons, and United are reluctant to become embroiled in a long-running saga.
Man Utd interested in Lille duo
Erik ten Hag’s team also made first contact with Lille regarding the signing of the central defender Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old is one of the young centre-backs United are looking at.
Center back is seen as a priority position, with Raphael Varane leaving as a free agent at the end of the month. Victor Lindelof is also attracting interest from Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Man Utd also among Premier League clubs interested in Yoro’s Lille teammate Jonathan Davidwho is in the last year of his contract.
Chelsea and West Ham are also said to be interested in the Canadian striker, but as of yet there has been no club-to-club contact.
Earlier this month, Lille president Olivier Letang said Yoro and David would be allowed to leave during this transfer window.
