Video captured wild fight breaking out the Italian parliament who allegedly forced a lawmaker to leave the room in a wheelchair.
The incident occurred on Wednesday during the vote on a controversial government bill aimed at giving Greater autonomy for Italian regions, according to Politico. According to the article, it started when Leonardo Donno of the Five Star Movement party – opposed to reform – threw an Italian flag in the face of Roberto Calderoli, the Minister of Regional Affairs and Autonomy.
The footage then shows two parliamentary clerks in the Chamber of Deputies trying to break up the couple before other lawmakers joined the fray, with one throwing punches at Donno.
“Among the different kicks, I also received a very strong punch to the sternum and I collapsed because I couldn’t breathe,” Donno told local media, as quoted by Politico.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani later told Sky TG24 after the brawl that “I have no words”.
“We need to set another example, not punches to resolve political problems,” he said. “It’s not bragging, it’s not shouting, it’s ideas that need to be explained well to convince voters.”
