Cardano-based sci-fi shooter Chronoshot was wishlisted on the Epic Games Store on Tuesday, marking a remarkable milestone for the game developer and the ADA ecosystem. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson Express his excitement about this milestone, saying: “Cardano Games on Epic makes me happy.”
Cardano-based gaming is coming
Chronoshot present a new gameplay mechanic where time only progresses as the player moves. This allows players to actively strategize, place shots, and plan moves against the opponent, increasing the tactical depth of the game. The game is currently in Early Access and available on the Epic Games Store wishlist, which is one of the main digital distribution platforms for the game. gaming industry.
Development company RFLXT shared details about the game’s Early Access launch through a series of posts on X. They announced, “Big news! Chronoshot is now wishlisted on Epic Games, joining Chains of War and Flux Point Studio. We’re launching FREE Early Access to give more people the chance to experience the game and our platform over the coming months of development.”
The move to open beta, as opposed to the traditional closed beta, is part of a larger strategy to directly involve the community in the game’s development process to improve transparency and user feedback. “We want as many people as possible to see what we’re doing, which is why we’re going straight to open beta/early access instead of closed beta,” the company wrote.
RFLXT also plans to further integrate its platform with Epic Games. This integration will allow players to use a single RFLXT account across both platforms, facilitating features like crossplay and game continuity. Additionally, the company is launching a beta of its http://RFLXT.com platform with Chronoshot, “a few partner Cardano games, and teaser pages from Digital Double before the end of the summer and will showcase all of this with demos at RareEvo.”
Chronoshot’s use of the Cardano blockchain includes Dynamic NFTs that provide new character upgrade mechanics, accessible to all players, including those who do not wish to engage with blockchain technology. Notably, these NFTs do not provide competitive advantages to ensure game balance is maintained.
Chronoshot’s Early Access version features two single-player modes, Time Attack and Survival, both with leaderboards. RFLXT plans to introduce a multiplayer mode shortly after the Early Access release to further test and refine these features based on user feedback. The developers have not set a specific release date yet, but plan to release Chronoshot in full by the end of 2024.

The game will remain free-to-play at its full launch, with some in-game items, such as skins, available for purchase. These items are purely cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay.
