TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A massive alligator that caused problems at MacDill Air Force Base in April is back in its natural habitat under a new name.
The air base posted a video on Facebook showing the release of the alligator at Gatorama, an alligator farm in Palmdale, Florida.
“Our scaly friend was safely released back to Gatorama and has already made friends in his new home,” MacDill Air Force Base said in the post. “They renamed it ‘MacDill’ to pay homage to its origins.”
“As a reminder: if there is water, always assume there may be an alligator there too,” the message continues. “Protect yourself, your children and your pets by keeping your distance. Alligators can run fast and have a nasty bite! »
