Challengers is a good original film. Imagine a romantic comedy from 2024, except the behavior and conventions are actually taken from 2024, and without apology. The woman often says the word “****ing”, and no one considers this inappropriate or unusual. There is bisexuality and poly. Society is feminized. Of course, there are differing opinions on these cultural issues, but the film is made with conviction and is therefore truly a modern love story. Who in the film is actually the emptiest shell? Opinions will differ.
Zendaya dominates the screen – how long has it been since we had such a central and charismatic actress?
Plus, I like Beyoncé’s new album, and Metaculus thinks the risk of an H5N1 pandemic is about two percent.
