The former president, shortly after a full jury was selected to hear arguments from his defense attorneys and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as he sought to make his case, s stood in the courthouse hallway and spoke to the press.

Trump said “every single one of them” knew this case was “very unfair” and “a very bad thing.”
“The whole world is watching this New York scandal,” he said, calling it a “spectacle.”

The former president blasted Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, calling him “out of control” and said Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the case, was “very confrontational.”
“The whole thing is a disaster,” he said.
“Joe Biden, he’s the one who should be in jail,” Trump said. “He’s a crook. We have a crooked president. He should be judged for everything he did to his family.”
Trump was apparently referring to the Biden family’s business dealings, which have been the subject of an investigation by House Republicans. These lawmakers launched an impeachment inquiry against Biden.
Hunter Biden is currently under investigation by Special Counsel David Weiss, who has indicted the first son twice, in two separate jurisdictions.
Trump again said Biden “should be judged” but said, “He’s in charge.”
Trump claimed that “senior Biden officials are working here with the DA’s office to make sure everything goes smoothly.”
“But it shouldn’t happen properly because they don’t have any records,” he said. “And that’s what it’s all about.”
Trump said that under Biden, the United States “is becoming a third world country, between no borders, no justice and a press that doesn’t want to cover the facts.”
Asset, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has been charged by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg with 34 counts of first-degree falsification of business records. The charges relate to alleged secret payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He described the trial as purely political, “political persecution” and maintains his innocence. The former president is expected to testify at his trial.
