DigitalHealth.London Launchpad company, Hibi, announces the launch of its digital care platform which supports families caring for and supporting children with developmental differences and health conditions.
Hey! Were Hibia digital care platform that helps families manage, coordinate and navigate the complex world of care.
Today, the status quo involves tons of paper files, long waits on hotlines, and lots of Google searches. Having seen how overwhelmed health, education and welfare systems can be, we built and founded Hibi with a mission to ensure that all children and their families have the tools, resources and support they need. need to receive the best possible care.
Our app is making a significant impact around the world, helping thousands of families raising children with developmental delays and health issues. With innovative care management tools and expert guidance, we enable these families to navigate complex health systems with confidence.
I was able to save myself from not one but two emergency situations with my daughter because I could care for and comfort my little one while the paramedics took all the information they needed from the app and not of my emotional/tired/overwhelmed self. difficult times. Since then, I’ve told everyone about it.

Hibi brings together typically fragmented multidisciplinary care teams through multi-caregiver access, ensuring everyone is on the same page. Our industry-leading standards, technical and organizational measures ensure the confidentiality, protection and security of user data.
Our history began with co-founders Sam Milliken-Smith – who had seen personally and professionally the challenges faced by families caring for children with developmental differences – and healthcare-focused entrepreneur and software engineer and technology, Uzay Macar. After coming together as part of the Entrepreneur First startup accelerator, Sam and Uzay spoke with hundreds of parents and professional caregivers to determine what they wanted from a digital care tool.
Driven by this community and the advice of advisors – including Accurx founder Laurence Bargery, Jess Meredith of Differing Minds, pediatrician Richard Daniels and Anel van der Merwe of Children in Motion – Hibi launched publicly in early 2024.
Supported by UK Research and Innovation, the University of Cambridge and DigitalHealth.London, Hibi has since partnered with care organizations including Differing Minds, Prova Health and York Health Economics Consortium. Our team has also grown, recently welcoming Kush Gaikwad as Principal Engineer and Melanie Dimmitt as Content and Community Manager.
Over the summer, a grant from UK Research and Innovation & Innovate UK will allow us to further develop the app and conduct a study to explore the impact of Hibi on families raising children with developmental differences . We will also introduce our premium offering – Hibi Plus – and continue to work closely with our rapidly growing community to continue improving a platform that we believe is, more and more, life-changing every day.
Together we are building Hibi to be the ultimate care companion.
Hibi works with a range of partner organizations to improve the support provided to families of children with developmental and health problems. Contact us at hello@hibi.health to learn more.
