D-Day veterans have left the UK for France to take part in commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
Around 25 ex-servicemen are making the ferry crossing from Portsmouth.
As the ship headed towards the Solent, an RAF A400 aircraft flew past to pay its respects.
