Time magazine wasted no time showing a future front page following the conviction of former President Donald Trump in a secret trial Thursday.
The publication released the cover of its June 24 edition, featuring a new illustration by the Cuban-American artist. Edel Rodriguez – several weeks earlier on X, formerly Twitter.
The image shows a hammer being brought down on a sound block, which itself is an abstract interpretation of the preemptive GOP presidential candidate’s face:
Rodriguez mockingly portrayed Trump for the outlet on multiple occasions, showing the convicted ex-POTUS as literally meltas a peach during his first indictment for extorting Ukraine and dismantling the government.
In 2018, Rodriguez marked Trump’s first year in office with this illustration of the then-president’s hair like fire:
He also addressed Trump’s disastrous handling of the coronavirus pandemic with this photo of himself and a misplaced mask:
For Germany The SpiegelMeanwhile, Rodriguez illustrated Trump as a A madman decapitates the Statue of LibertyA an asteroid is heading towards Earth and as wearing a Klu Klux Klan Hood.
Rodriguez, who fled Cuba for America as a child, said HuffPost in 2017 that his antipathy toward Trump came from growing up under a brutal dictatorship on the Caribbean island.
