Democratic strategist James Carville criticized the Democratic Party on Saturday over its messaging on Gaza and student loan forgiveness.
“We keep asking ourselves why these young people don’t come back to the Democrats,” Carville said during his Politicon podcast. “Why don’t black people come back to the Democrats? Because the Democrats’ messages are full of bullshit, that’s why!”
Carville, who many times sounded the alarm on President Biden’s re-election chances and the Democratic Party’s losses among major voting blocs, also called out Democratic messaging on student loan forgiveness.
“Why are we canceling student loans for people who go to Harvard? » Carville said, before referring to Scott Galloway. “Which Scott Galloway says is nothing more than a hedge fund with classrooms. Well, they got a f—— $52 billion surplus! Why the taxpayers are they going to bail these people out?!”
BIDEN’S STUDENT DEBT PLAN COULD COST UP TO $1.4 BILLION
“Don’t talk about f—— Gaza and student loans!” Carville shouted.
The Democratic strategist cited a Harvard/Harris poll that found the war in the Middle East ranked lower than economic problems for Americans.
Carville suggested that Democrats propose taxing more than $5 billion in college endowments and using that money to forgive student loans.
He said Monday during an appearance on MSNBC that the the age question was “stifling” President Biden and told him to stop complaining about negative media coverage of the issue.

“I think the president has to face, the age issue is choking him. He has to point out that he’s only four years older than Trump,” Carville told MSNBC’s Jen Psaki in response to a question about how Biden and former President Trump could possibly be tied in the polls.
Carville suggested Biden talk about his record and how he plans to “change people’s lives” during the interview.
“It’s trivial, but it’s what wins elections,” he said.
He expressed concern that Biden would replicate his 2020 coalition, citing significant losses among young black voters.
“I think President Biden could win the election, but I think in terms of party identification, in terms of building it up as we go, male detachment in the United States is a significant issue, particularly among what we would call non-conformists. he said during an interview with the media.
