Major General Aharon Haliva admitted failing to warn of the October 7 attack.
More than six months after Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel, the head of Israeli military intelligence has resigned.
In his resignation letter, Major General Aharon Haliva emphasized that with authority comes responsibility – and acknowledged that the military intelligence directorate under his command failed to warn of the October 7 attack.
This comes as public outrage over the perceived failures of the Israeli government and military grows.
What message does this send as the war on Gaza continues?
