It’s endearing at first, but quickly turns sinister when the sister realizes the communication is only possible because her brother has been kidnapped, and aliens who want it something in return.
This is the very cool plot to Meanwhile on Earththe new film by writer-director Jérémy Clapin, who directed the Oscar-nominated animated film I lost my body. The sister, Elsa, is played by newcomer Megan Northam and in this trailer, she already seems to have mastered the starring role. Because she must decide what is more important: getting her brother back? Or stopping aliens from taking over the world?
