Beetlejuice Beetlejuice And Blue Fever joins horror classics and spooky tradition-inspired collections at leading home decor retailers and seasonal pop-up giants Spirit Halloween and Party City.
Halloween’s niche in the horror fan world has expanded well beyond October 31, so it makes sense that home decor and merchandise inspired by horror movies, classic monsters, and supernatural legends is increasingly becoming a staple of everyday life. Hey, if comic book and sci-fi nerds do it year-round, spooky season fans can too. What’s shocking, though, is that Halloween teasers are now dropping so soon after the Fourth of July. In previous years, the anticipation of stores stocking their shelves with orange and black delights had more time to build, at least until the back-to-school aisles were empty. And while some retailers still seem to be checking the calendar—including Target, which has so far kept its Halloween collection under wraps—if you visit the websites or even store locations, Disney Store, Lowe’sHalloween spirit, Home DepotParty City, Michaels, At Home and Joann, you can start shopping for pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons and more.
But you’ll have to be quick! Early-rising horror fans are already raiding the aisles, as are retailers intent on snapping up any items that might go viral and become Halloween must-haves for 2024. That’s why so many items are sold out mid-summer, even though most will be restocked. If you see something you can’t live without, get these alerts so you’ll be first in line when it returns. And remember, what’s been discontinued so far isn’t everything; there’s more to come as fall approaches. The Disney Store just kicked off its release schedule with The Haunted Mansion collection but he has other things planned in the coming weeks. Beetlejuice things started coming into retailers like Halloween Spirit—witness this giant inflatable at Party city The Phantom of the Circus Carousel with the most success, but it should be noted that so far, this is only the product of the first iconic film. We have not yet seen anything of Beetlejuice Beetlejuicebut it will definitely happen. Tim Burton fans will be happy to know that Funeral rites will be a big feature of Spirit Halloween, just like slashers like Shout and John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise. Home Depot will feature the Universal Monsters, the not-so-scary (but clearly kids’ favorite) monsters Blue, and more Nightmare Before Christmas with this 13-foot animated Jack Skellington statue (which we hope will come with a Sandy Claws outfit for Christmas).
But what if you don’t need pop culture splashed all over your seasonal decor? Fans of supernatural folklore, classic witchy literature, wacky familiars, sentient pumpkins, and paranormal specters aren’t left out either. Michaels, At Home, and Joann Fabrics offer their own deeply aesthetic collections that aren’t intellectual property at all, but will give your abode a supremely haunting feel. We’re particularly fond of the Midnight Moon And Haunted Forest collections at Michael that are reminiscent of some classic monsters and atmospheric A24 vibes. Then, for those into astrology, traditional Halloween, and graveyard goth, check out the drops on Joann And At home (but let us cry out to these awesome Jack Skellington pieces). And let’s not forget Lowe’s truly epic aquatic horror line. There’s a a huge Kraken from the front that is already hard to get your hands on, because who doesn’t want to release the Kraken for Halloween?
There’s already something for everyone and choosing a theme is going to be really hard this year! Let us know if you’ve managed to get your hands on something yet or if you’re planning on waiting and showing up to find nothing but Christmas shelves in September. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
