Since Apple launched the Third-generation AirPods By the end of 2021, we’ve seen the starting price of the second-generation entry-level model consistently drop below $100. And now that the Second-generation AirPods Pro have been on the market for almost two years, we also see their prices dropping more often. We even see good deals on updated models AirPods Pro with USB-C.
Before we dive into the offers, however, we wanted to remind you that Prime Day will take place this year from July 16 to 17. We’ve already seen some great deals on AirPods, so if you’re looking to grab a pair, it might be worth the wait. These AirPods are Apple’s second generation of truly wireless earbuds and the cheapest model in the AirPods lineup.
In 2021, Apple lowered the list price of the second-generation AirPods (now the entry-level model) from $159 to $129. The model now only comes with a wired charging case, which charges via a standard Lightning cable. Despite their age, we found that the easy-to-use second-generation AirPods still offer excellent wireless performance and reliable battery life, making them a great choice if you can live without a wireless charging case.
For Black Friday, Apple’s most affordable pair of earbuds dropped to an all-time low of $69 ($60 off) at many retailers. For now, though, the second-generation earbuds are only on sale at Amazon And Walmart with a Lightning Charging Case for $89 ($40 off), which is their second-best price yet.

Similar in appearance to their sleeker siblings, the AirPods Pro, the latest entry-level AirPods feature a new charging case and shorter stems. They’re also water-resistant, unlike the 2019 model, and offer better battery life.
With support for the company’s MagSafe technology and a $179 asking price, Apple’s third-generation AirPods are often considered the middle child of Apple’s current AirPods lineup. The shorter stems also allow for a more subtle design, while improved sound and features like sweat and water resistance, support for spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and improved battery life make them a nice upgrade over the last-gen model.
In 2022, Apple discreetly introduces a new, slightly cheaper option Third-generation AirPods come with a Lightning-only charging case. Unfortunately, they’re only on sale at B&H Photo right now for $159.99 ($10 off), with no Amazon neither Walmart offering their usual $30 discount. That being said, the MagSafe option is available to Costco members for $149.99 ($30 off) or at B&H Photography for $169.99 ($10 off).

The second-generation AirPods Pro improve on Apple’s original pair with much better noise cancellation, improved sound quality, and inline volume controls. The latest update also comes with a USB-C charging case, as opposed to Lightning.
In 2022, Apple announced the second-generation AirPods Pro, which feature a similar build to the first-generation model but offer better noise cancellation, swipe controls, and a pair of extra-small interchangeable silicone tips for smaller ears. Apple followed them up last year with a minor update, which includes a USB-C Charging Case and an improved IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. The latest model also supports lossless audio when used with Apple’s new Vision Pro headset.
Apple’s updated AirPods Pro are now on sale at Amazon for $199 ($50 off), which is about $20 off the all-time low we saw at the end of April. They’re also available at Best buy, WalmartAnd Targetbut only for their full retail price of around $249.

The AirPods Max aren’t the iconic in-ear headphones that have become synonymous with the AirPods name. They’re big and luxurious, made of aluminum, steel, and mesh fabric that stays comfortable during extended listening sessions.
