Anonymous sources are said to be close to President Biden They have reportedly witnessed “15 to 20 events over the last year and a half” similar to what the country saw during last week’s presidential debate.
“These are people, many of them very close to President Biden, who loved him, supported him and among them are people who would raise a lot of money for him. And they are adamant that what we saw the other night, the Joe Biden that we saw, is not an isolated case, that there have been 15 or 20 occasions over the last year and a half where the president has appeared much like he did in this horror show that we witnessed,” CNN’s Carl Bernstein told Anderson Cooper Monday night, referring to the debate.
“And what is so significant is the people who are behind it, and also the number of people around the president who are aware of such incidents, including some journalists who have actually witnessed some of them,” he said.
Referring to Biden’s address to the nation Responding to the Supreme Court’s decision on Trump’s lawyers’ immunity Monday, Bernstein continued: “But we see here tonight that, as these people say, President Biden is at his best, and yet these people who supported him, who loved him, who campaigned for him, who see him often, say that over the last six months in particular, there has been a marked incidence of cognitive decline and physical disability.”

The 80-year-old veteran journalist said the sources he spoke to said that over the past year they had warned Ron Klain, Biden’s top ally who oversaw debate preparations at Camp David, that they “had a problem,” telling the Biden confidant of instances when the president had “lost his train of thought” and “couldn’t get it back.”
“There was a fundraiser where he started at the podium. Then he got very stiff, according to people who were there, almost like rigor mortis,” Bernstein said. “That was almost exactly a year ago at the old Four Seasons restaurant on Park Avenue. He got very stiff and they had to bring him a chair so he could do the last part of the event.”
“I think what these people have been saying for a while is, ‘Yes, he’s great when you see him, like tonight. But he also has these inexplicable moments that we’re very concerned about and you, Ron Klain and the First Family, we need to talk about it.’ And they’ve been rebuffed repeatedly every time the subject has come up,” he continued.

Although Bernstein said his sources insist Biden has been “sharp” in his national security meetings, he suggested the country is “dealing with two groups of one person.”
“And this is something that really needs to be studied, according to the people I talk to,” Bernstein said. “And I think a lot of leading Democrats think that, including some who have made statements to the contrary. But this is a problem that’s not going to go away.”
Neither the White House nor the Biden campaign immediately responded to Fox News Digitalrequests for comments.

Trust me, I know.” Obama said in a statement Friday. “But this election remains a choice between someone who has fought his whole life for ordinary people and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth, who knows right from wrong and will tell it straight to the American people, and someone who lies brazenly for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and that’s why so much is at stake in November.”
